A while ago, I looked through the long-dead Kingdom's Edge Inn and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So, I thought I could try to reignite this old tavern and bring back the fun atmosphere from long ago, and maybe revise and polish some of the story elements. Without further ado, here's the revised rules:
While it is set in the same world as Hollow Knight, the Inn itself is separate from the locations in Hallownest (and the Infection), and the characters from the game won't be appearing. While using characters from the game is technically allowed, I encourage you to make your own!
No swearing, suggestive dialogue, or anything of the sort. Keep it PG at most.
Since the Inn is separate from other universes, forums, and taverns, you leave any baggage from other threads at the door, and take it with you when you leave. Don't argue with other people about things from other threads or forums.
Be kind to others. We don't want any Zotes around here.
The Inn doesn't have the protections of other Taverns, so characters can be hurt and even killed (if fights occur between PCs, both sides need to be ok with losing their PC). Keep your nail, needle, or other weapon close, just in case.
Only three characters at maximum are allowed per player, to keep things from getting too chaotic.
If you participated in the original tavern, I'd advise you create a new character. While yes, it would be nice to be nostalgic over old characters, it would also be hard to continue their stories after so long. They might be reintroduced as NPCs later, though.
Well, that's all the rules so far. I might edit them later if need be. Anyways, good luck and have fun!

*I understand that this makes almost no sense lore-wise, but could I have a Grimmkin character?*
*As in a character already associated with the Troupe, or more like the actual Grimmkin enemy in design? This distinction isn't really that important, but it'll help me understand your character a bit more*

*Thank you, oh Spider Queen of the Spider Guild on her Spider Throne, for this privilege*
A tall moth walks into the tavern. He wears the mask and colors of the Grimm Troupe, and he fluffs his scarf-like mane dramatically as he enters.
He doesn't seem to have a weapon, but he has a very large and very strange book with him, with something wooden instead of pages.
He seems happy and excited to be here.
The barkeep waves from behind the bar. She appears to be some dragonfly-looking bug with five eye holes in her mask. Her four long, translucent wings flutter every so often.
"Hey there! Welcome to the Kingdom's Edge Inn!"

"A room would be delightful! But I would honestly like to have the geo to pay for it before I make a commitment. I'll be back soon!"
The Board is covered in various different posters, flyers and papers for different organizations. The majority of them seem to be for three organizations: The Nailmaster's Guild, the Menderbug Society, and the Enclave of Ink and Quill.
