There is a Black Door. It is on the back of the tree. It creaks open to reveal a dark room.
"Come, wayward souls And wander through the darkness There is a light for the lost and the meek Sorrow and fear are easily forgotten When you submit to the will of the hearth..."
"Yeah you know. I'm good." Thomas says.
"You have no reason to be afraid." A small tin toy walks out and tips its hat to Thomas.
Thomas crouches down. "Who're you?"
The voice still emerges from behind the door, but not far behind the threshold. "I am the Egregore, of course. Now, I've made a fine meal for us. Why don't you come inside?"
"No thanks....Mrs. P needs me soon."
"Of course. But remember to come back once you are done, please."
"Why dont you come on out?"
"Because you would be afraid."
"I'm not afraid of much."
"There is something in my form that brings terror to anyone. That is why I must remain in the Attic."
"Well come on out. I promise I wont be afraid."
"If you insist upon it." A pair of long, disturbingly human arms slowly reach out from the door, grabbing the edges. They seem to be made out of the remains of animals, machines, and even some humans lashed together with shadowy wire in order to approximate a humanoid form.
The... abomination creeps forward. It must be at least twelve feet (or 4 meters) tall. Its construction is unnerving enough that the materials seem almost tame in comparison. It looks as though it was made in the image of the original nightmare. The first fear and the first evil. Guts and wires hanging out of its torso. Glowing orange eyes seem to pierce into Thomas' heart. They aren't malicious, just... piercing.

May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.

"Cool!" Thomas says and he seems to genuinely mean it.

The towering evil gives a bow, its horns nearly scraping the ground. "Thank you. Now, return when you are ready." The smell of fine food wafts out of the door as the creature sinks back into the dark.

A young man, on the cusp of 18 but not quite there yet, enters the loop. He has a bag slung over his shoulder, and is wearing a brown longsleeve sweater, a pair of jeans, a pair of boots, and a small locket around his neck. He has frosty blue eyes, black hair, and pale skin. He looks around the lawn for a moment, taking in the sights of the home

A boy that looks to be 17 peeks around a rock to look at him. He has black hair, green eyes, a brown overcoat with a white shirt underneath, brown pants, and black shoes.
Thomas catches up to him. Mrs. P is standing there pointing a crossbow at nothing.
"She will. I hope. If she doesn't we will be defenseless. Ever since Abe left we haven't had a single person who could see the Hollows...."

Frank looks unamused "Eh, not as cool as i thought" He wanders further down the stony beach.
"I can dig a hole for you to stay in if you want so they wont find you" He offers
"Forgive the mess, I am trying to regain my sanity again."

"You cant see them!" Thomas hisses. There is a loud thud as something falls on the ground. Mrs. P walks off back to the house.
"I think she did it." Tom says while checking his pocketwatch.

The watch is gold. Mrs. P herself walks through the garden. "Hello children." she says. Thomas smiles at her.
