'Um, sure, why not?'

Flint is asleep in a trash can, covered in muck. He's lost a lot of weight since Ash and Kiara left, and has not known what to do with himself

'Huh?'

Flint tries to answer the phone

'Oh my goodness, Ashleigh, how are ya? So good to hear ya voice again!'

'What's happened? Are you ok? Is Kiara ok?'

'What's happened to you? Are you hurt? Do you need me with you?'

'The authorities? That does not sound good'

Flint tries to remember which place she would have been staying at

Flint, without hesitating, heads to the old van and drives to the Adamant Citadel

Flint is nervous and tries to hide from them wherever possible. He tries to get about using the sewer tunnels, but does come to the surface to look for Ashleigh

Flint scuttles off southwards. He asks the local rats if they have seen her.

He's wondering what the heck has happened that led to Ashleigh becoming a fugitive

'No, no, no. This is big' he whispers to himself

He asks them if they have any idea where she could be hiding out
