The boy feeds a little to his dog, who loves it. They both eat like they haven't eaten in days. After most of it is gone, the boy sits there, content to watch the goings of the store and nibble on a piece of bread, whilst the dog has another bit of bread, which its chewing like a bone with its jam covered face.
An old tiefling suddenly sits down next to you. He's relatively short and solidly built, and has a ton of smile lines on his face. He doesn't say anything.
The boy doesn't stop watching the goings of the store, but nods to acknowledge the tiefling. He also starts to stroke his dog, who is holding its piece of bread down with its paws and trying to bite it in half.
*I've heard of falling in love with your own character, but is it wrong to be falling in love with your characters dog?*
*It sounds exactly like when my dog was a bit younger. So cute*
The tiefling nods back. "Could I possibly pet your dog?" He asks in a soft voice.
A tall, skinny half-elf emerges from one of the storm drains. His pallid face is streaked with grime, and it looks like he's been underground for a very long time. A rat with an emo fringe is perched on his shoulder. The rat is named Hi. The half-elf is unsure whether he is welcome in this strange new town, so he decides, rather than interact with others before he knows it is safe, to do what he does best- search the trash. If this place sells magic items, there must be something good, right? Or so Hi tells him.
“Ahhhhhhhh, I see.” He slides over three gp to pay for it. “Thanks sir, you can keep the change.”
He then heads outside and scans the street for a bar to go to.
After a couple minutes, he is able to locate a pub called "The Sunbeam." It's a small, shabby cobblestone building with a planked roof.
He walks into the bar and seats himself at the counter and waits to get his order taken.
Inside, it feels like the name Sunbeam might not be too fitting. It is very obviously a house that's been converted into a pub, probably as a hobby for the owner. It's a tad cramped inside, and taller patrons would be at risk of hitting their heads if they were careless inside the tiny cobblestone building. There are what appear to be ale stains on the floor and tables, and the whole room is poorly lit. Instead of torches, the pub is lit by large glowing pear green colored mushrooms. There's not very many customers in the Sunbeam at the moment. You see a couple of adventurers gathered over in a corner, quietly discussing battle plans, but nothing of particular interest in the room.
A bony gnome is behind the counter, and sets down some cards to take your order.
“Cheery place this, one coconut milk please.” He says to the gnome, he then investigates the adventurers in the corner.

*You have a labrador, right? I might be thinking of someone else...*
The dog looks up at the tiefling as they speak, a wide eyed expression on his face.
"You'll have to ask him yourself." Says the boy, taking another bite of his bread.

Hey! Kinda all or nothing on the forums lately, please excuse me for being late to most parties.
There are many barrels that hold trash next to and behind the store, which probably have malfunctioning or otherwise messed up magic items.
“Ahhhhhhhh, I see.” He slides over three gp to pay for it. “Thanks sir, you can keep the change.”
He then heads outside and scans the street for a bar to go to.

“Cheery place this, one coconut milk please.” He says to the gnome, he then investigates the adventurers in the corner.
"Okee dokey!" He goes to get the coconut milk, and comes back soon with it, and says, "That'll be 5 copper, my good sir."
And when you approach the adventurers, could I get a bit more detail of what you're doing, exactly?

The adventurers have a few maps laid out, but you can't really tell what they are of without getting close. They're speaking softly, but not whispering. You hear snatches of the conversation: "...gate........some monks........gotta get......dang thieves......"

They keep talking, sometimes sounding a bit urgent. You hear more of things like thieves, monks, sewers, keys, and guards. They start to notice you though, and eventually only two of them are whispering to each other. The two others are just looking at you, not menacingly, but curious and alert.
I pretend to notice them looking at me and then use it as an excuse to walk over to them.

The tabaxi smiles big, and extends a paw in greeting. "Evening, mister."
He walks over to them and shakes the tabaxis hand, “You too kind sir, the names Rotterharn, how about you?” He slides a chair over to the table and takes a seat.
Otter turns around and is immediately tackled by their 2 siblings (Otter is an agender, panromantic otter, Atlas is a male, gay otter, and Tsunami is a dimigirl, biromantic otter) *:D* *now i have multiple characters here*

Whatever Flint (for that is the half-elf's name) finds, he decided to go find a tavern to sell it in. Whether it's of any value or not at all, he's pretty happy with his find. And maybe the tavern is in need of a travelling entertainer who'll play a few songs for a few copper pieces?
A man around 21 walks in. On his red sleeveless jacket you see several pins. His backpack has the text "I BEAT THE ELITE FOUR.....TWICE" in comedic letters. He has an electric yellow mouse creature on his shoulder and 6 red spheres at his waist that look like capsules.
