Flint suspects poison, and as he is a Mark of Detection half-elf, detects poison. He takes a sip. 'Nice flavour, fruity notes, with a hint of rat poison.' He spits it out in her face.

Down in the sewers, a heavily armored dwarf with a pick axe lies half submerged in the filthy water. He slowly starts to stir.
If you follow the path that the unconscious dwarf took to get to where he was, you will arrive at a poorly concealed hole in the wall. Anyone standing outside of the hole can hear a heavy clanking sound. The sound goes quiet for a moment. Suddenly, the rubble piled up to conceal the wall explodes in flames. A heavy suited, short figure steps through the fresh hole and stands knee deep in the sewer water.
Elsewhere in the sewers, there are the shadows and then there is the Darkness. People say that nothing can travel faster than light. This isn't entirely true. Wherever light goes, darkness was there before it. This Darkness remembers when there was no light to push it out of the open. This Darkness resents the light. It was here first, but now the light has somehow managed to shove it out of its territory. This Darkness is angry. This Darkness is searching. This Darkness is hungry.
Also in the sewers is a rat. It is eating a moldy piece of bread. This rat has nothing to do with the story but I thought I would let you know that it exists.
Flint is also now back in the sewers, very happy at the amount of free falafel he has consumed and the fact that he could actually pass as an aristocrat. He seems slightly troubled though, like something is watching him. Hunting him almost, like how a cat pursues a rat. He decides to sit and meditate on it. 4 + 4 Insight check
