Ned continues tinkering for a while and then climbs out of the basement with Skippy. He sets up a target and has Skippy try out his new shocking plug.
"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
Oriel walks over.
”what are you doing?”
"I installed a new defense mechanism in Skippy, and we're testing it."
“What does it do?”
"Show her Skippy." Skippy lets out a blast of electricity from a node that came out of a door in his spherical body.
“Is it lethal?”
"Nay. It just stuns the target for long enough for Skip ter escape."
“Ah.”
"Would ye like to feel it?"
“Not particularly.”
"I jest m'lady."
“It was hard to tell.”
"Ah."
“Anyways, how are you doing?”
"Have ye seen my place yet?"
“No.”
"Would ye like ter come along, and see it. I mean, it's not much but..."
“Alright.”
Ned leads Oriel into his house at in the cellar
“This is not at all suspicious.”
