A man sits in a chair at a table.  He’s medium height, with somewhat long black hair that hangs limply on his shoulders. The man’s skin seems not quite real, as if it could be peeled away. His clothing is vibrant and elaborate, and he holds in his hands a tattered pirate’s hat. 

 'Would you like some freshly squeezed blood wine, sir?'

The man perks up at the mention of blood. He leans forward hungrily. “I’d like nothing more.”

 A server delivers him some

The takes a tentative sip and immediately doubles over. He appears to be in immense pain. His skin is trembling and writhing. In many places it splits, revealing a second skin of sleek, alabaster white. He begins chanting to himself, a desperate song of twisted words you don’t recognize. The man manages, just barely, to hold himself together.

Then, all of the sudden, it stops. The man straightens, looking entirely unbothered. He fixes his hair and downs the rest of the glass.

“Next round’s on me!”

 'You like the pain of that? You remind me of someone...'

Lonely is floating 20 feet in the air, sketching something on a paper.

'Good evening Lonely. What are you drawing?'

6 white-masked spirits seem to leave his body. They start off as little more than a vapour, but soon solidify into humanoids. They then disappear.

The vampire starts clapping, “Well done, never seen anything like that before. Pray tell what are they?”

'They are Variants of mine. They do my bidding. Well, technically, they are me, so of course they do their own bidding, which happens to be mine. They can travel to whatever world is needed, whether that be a world of magic or science, one where the wars are fought between elves and dwarves, or one where the only fighters are men and machines'
