Checking it's genuine, he puts it into the cash register. "Thanks. I can't promise that we won't suddenly raise our rates."
"I can meet them." he said and shifted back into a human-form
"I'm sure you can." Misty side-eyes Karlos. "Just fill out this form right here, and you'll be all set." She slides a piece of paper over to him for him to sign. It asks for his full name, Date of Birth, Date of Death (if applicable), and a signature that acknowledges his responsibility for any damages he causes to the building during his stay.

He takes it and looks it over. "A form? For a place this shifty?" He askes and tilts his head, his black eyes shining.

"It's standard procedure. And just because we cater towards a primarily shifty demographic doesn't mean that this is a shifty place." She sighs, stacking her forearms on the counter and smiling softly. "Let me tell you something. I'm a retired adventurer; I don't steal or anything like that. And while I don't judge, or I wont't report you to no one or anything for any misdeeds you have done in the past, we're still running a legitimate business. So we ask for ID for people who look too young to be buying alcohol, we keep people from bringing harm to others under this roof, and we ask that you fill out these short forms so we can keep everything in order. Make sense?"

He thinks for a moment before writing down his information, his age, his many, MANY, death dates. He shifts from a human to a Sahuagin, running his teeth over his finger, and signing in blood. He grins happily, handing it back.
"Makes me wonder what you'd do without me." Misty chuckles, stirring her butterfly pea tea with a small spoon. It's a deep, translucent royal blue. She gets out a jar of honey and stirrs some in the tea, letting it cool down just a little bit more.

"Thank you!" She takes out a small binder and puts the paper inside of it. "Any preference for a floor, or a room?"

"Buy life insurance for random people, kill them and cash in on the winnings," shrugs Karlos, "Or rather, tell someone else how to do it and take a cut of the profits. Good money."

"Lowest floor you have, i like the dark. Preferably near others who i can blame things on." He said
"I'm gonna give you a key to a room on the third floor. I can't tell you where others are residing, though, sorry. But the rooms are outfitted with some spectacular blinds that block out a lot of light!"

"Hmmm..." He said and leaned back, taking on an elf form again as his pale blue eyes narrow "First floor, the same blinds you say that work, and i wont bother anyone."

"Also, if we don't fill out the forms, doing hit jobs on rulebreakers becomes slightly more difficult."
Chilling kinda vibe.
"Ahhh, Hm. Makes me worry for my life then."

Misty snaps her towel at Karlos' shoulder, giggling a little.
"You'll be fine, Misty always stops me before I actually call in someone to do it."
Chilling kinda vibe.

"The basement is off limits, and we don't have rooms in the ground floor. But one level above that?"
Chilling kinda vibe.
"As long as its dark... and near people."

"Yeah. And we have no rooms on the first floor. The third floor is the lowest floor we have."
