Okropnosc is wandering around the oasis, reading poetry.
Lark (in his child form again) pops up behind Okropnosc and follows him for a while, listening.
They seem to be varied beyond imagination, clearly not written by any one person, but there is a common thread between them: romance.
Hearing a particularly sappy line Lark makes a childish noise of disgust, loud enough for Okropnosc to hear.
Okropnosc sighs. "If you don't care for poetry, then why are you here, Lark?"
"S'not the poetry that's the problem. All everyone ever talks about is romance. First Kila and Nedari, now you. It's so boring!"
"I look at it to remind myself of what I can never have. I am a creature not fit for this reality, and thus cannot be loved. I have no intention of running off and falling in love."
He speaks with a faint-but-solemn bitterness in his inhuman voice.
Lark looks troubled, and after a moment he goes up to him and gives him a hug.
"Hey now, I'm sure you'll find love one day. It don't gotta be romantic either. Your followers probably love you a lot!"

"Since when did you care about other beings?"
Lark laughs. "Good point. I guess when I met Kila and Zeem and Nedari, they've been so nice to me."

And while I understand that platonic love is a wonderful thing, I believe that I am barred from that as well. I might as well dream for the highest if I'm not even going to get past the lowest."

"No. I want them to not need fear, but then I would have no purpose to exist.
"I've tried showing them love. At least, my version of it. I protect them and give them gifts, but gratitude is not the same as affection.
"Lastly, I've already broken several rules of reality, but I've always needed help to do so. It would likely take some fairly extreme assistance to reach a point of unreality where I could be loved."

"Well at least you don't want them to be scared of you. That's a good start. And maybe gratitude isn't the same as affection, but it could grow into it. I'm very good at breaking rules! And I could always ask Kila or the others if we need somewhere more powerful to help."

"I don't think Kila likes me, and for good reason. Like me, he is very protective of his people, but his view of what protects them and what harms them is significantly different than mine. Also, I tried to get him to face his rage, but my methods aren't quite... kind... from an outside perspective. Zeem dislikes me as well, due to me creating monsters."

*Oh, kinda importantly, characters of the same player can't form a pantheon with each other, right? I mean, it would make sense if they could join each other's pantheons, but being able to make a pantheon for free seems a bit... against what was intended.*

*When I make a new god, could I switch all of my current followers over to that one? I wanna make a Decadence god, but I feel like they would be annihilated if they started as a demigod given the current social climate. I'm cool with not being able to trade them after that.*

Ivis is crafting something at the top of his mountain. The mountain seems larger than before, and clouds obscure the top of the mountain. Lightning strikes constantly hit the top of the mountain.
