Silently licking her cone, The halfling girl watches as people come and go. She finds a driftwood stump to sit on and takes a shawm from her backpack. It looks and sounds sort of like an oboe. She plays a melancholy tune quietly, matching the rhythm of the small waves swishing against the beach. 

A gnome with some sort of gas-powered contraption on his back can be seen swimming straight for the shore, gasping for breath. 

Grizelle, the halfling lady is astonished by the noisy creature she sees approaching. What could it be? Is it coming for good or ill?

The otter munches their clam icecream.

'Nice ice cream ya got there buddy'

Flint is playing the novelty ukulele

'Hey, sorry, did I wake ya?'

'Good. Like to think my singing isn't quite that bad, but, ya never know...'

'I sing, yeah. Wouldn't call myself a singer though. Most of my audience are rodents. Long story'

Grizelle says “Hi, I I like your song a nd the music. I play a few things myself.” You notice that her shawm is almost as long as she is tall. She has to sit on the stump to play or else the shawm would be playing into the ground. 

'Cool! What songs do you know?'

'Wait, what?'

Grizelle points at the gnome type creature trying to get to shore. “ Do you think they need help”?”
