Though the Hyena's are brutal with their cubs, the mother will call a fake warning to alert the pack if her cub is seen picked on.
Ooh huge hyena paragraph coming!
There’s around four different species of hyena (so few because they beling in their own classification and aren’t canine or feline), the largest being the iconic spotted hyena. Spotted hyenas are largely matriarchal and females tend to be larger and stronger than the males. Spotted hyenas are one of the most important scavangers of the african continent, and a significant threat to most top predators in their environment. Hyenas are extremely intelligent pack animals, and will actually ambush lions. They have one of the strongest bite force in the animal kingdom, especially for a mammal, and it’s because they’re primarily scavengers and use their teeth to crush bone :)

While alligators have intensely strong bite forces when closing, their opening biteforce is very weak. You can actually hold an alligator’s mouth shut and it would be almost completely helpless.

Wolf packs don’t actually have pack rankings in the form most people think (Alpha, Beta, Omega). Wolf packs are comprised of families, so all the wolves are usually related to eachother. Dispersal wolves are wolves that reach an age to where they go out and find their own mate to start a pack for themselves, the dispersal wolves usually being male.
Pack hierarchy consists of two alphas and the children of those two alphas. The alphas of a pack are always a mated pair. There may be an omega occasionally, usually when the pack adopts an outsider wolf and has them treated as less valuable than the rest of the family.

The animal that lived the longest amount of time (recorded by man, of course,) was Ming the Mollusk, an ocean quahog that lived for 507 years.
I'm not including the immortal jellyfish because they don't quite have a lifespan at all.
Immortal jellyfish are super interesting! They actually live for a certain amount of time going through a normal lifecycle (not sure exactly how long) but when they die they’re reborn as an infant, kind of like a pheonix.

What do blue ringed octopuses, pufferfish, and California newts have in common? They all produce tetrodotoxin! Tetrodotoxin is very dangerous, which is why its required for people to have a license to prepare pufferfish.
Vulture bees are eusocial bees closely related to the South American stingless bee. The foragers of the colony find animal corpses and eat them. They then feed it to worker vulture bees which eventually creates something similar to honey.
