If business had been booming before, it's nothing like today. Markets are selling ingredients for almost a quarter of their original prices, meanwhile people are eating and drinking far more than usual.

The big, black monster is drinking a mug of milk at the coffee shop.

 *Afternoon!*

Ambrosius watches, wary. 

Ophelia is writing a few tables over.

 *Greetings! May I have a description?*

The monster looks over at Ambrosius and waves gently, its sharp, bear-like claws glinting in the light.

 *You may! Check the character key on this post, it has better details than I could describe at this current point!*

His eyes narrow slightly, hand on the hilt of his sword. "Hello there."

*Cool!* 

The monster walks over to him, as though unaware of the blade about to be readied against it.

"Hello to you as well. I hope you aren't too alarmed by my appearance. It is something I am quite proud of, despite its... offensive qualities."

 He softens slightly, but not too much. "You here for any reason in particular?"

 "Yeah! Sort of. As you know, I'm forever trying to get an article in the paper. I'm writing about someone I met the other day."

 "I sadly never got their name." She puts a hand on the back of her next, smiling guiltily. "They were sitting under a tree, and had a large wound that they were dealing with."

 'Are they ok? I could go help them?'

He looks out of the window and spots Bonsai, who he waves to

 bonsai notices flint and runs up to him with a bagel in her mouth before laying down next to him andenjoying her newfound treat. with her tail wagging

*yes there is a reason why bonsai wags her tail when shes happy*

 'What ya got there? Looks pretty nice!'

'Mostly just copper pieces, but managed to get my hands on some gold as well!'

 "Ah, yes. I used to live in this big, old castle before this city was built. I was a servant of the family that lived there. They built this city around that castle, and it was only recently that they found it again underneath all those layers of brass and brick. I was summoned back home, and even though I didn't want to come at first, I realized that I don't have to come quickly and I can just enjoy the sights. This place was popular, and I have a bit of spending money, so I thought this would be a nice place to go first."

"And then just when we thought we were done BOOOM! the smiths house blew up! showering us with embers!"

 "I'll arrive here in a couple more days. I'm presently trying to make things more comfortable for me. If you couldn't tell by my physique, I'm not built for rough living."

 olive stops for a second "does this place sell shark?- nevermind ill find out later. ANYWAY!" she starts back up again describing how the flames licked at a hero kobolds scales as it helped the party drag the others out, not caring if he was injured in the process, the story goes on for about three more minutes and ends with there only being one casualty when the entire town was expected to be wiped out "aaaand that was my first adventure, been with my party ever since....well until that weird spell was cast on me and I ended up here. im alright with it though...am a bit sad theres no sharks here though..."
