Shrinekeeper is cleaning their shrine alone, the large building seeming like quite the task
a woman with black hair wearing casualwear and a holy symbol walks inside and looks around before spotting them. She walks over to them and taps them on the shoulder "May I be of some help?"
"Hm?" They turn to face her, blindfolded, "Oh! Sure, I'd love some help" They say with a smile
It sighs and, suddenly, Shrinekeeper feels himself getting picked up. "I find it annoying. You are giving attention to this building instead of me." It growls.
Alex looks up at him with steel in her eyes "First stalking and now kidnapping?"
Jason realizes that the terrifying aura and gaze aren't intentional. This creature, if anything, is trying to hide its palpable menace. It means no harm, nor is it upset at the moment. It's just calmly observing Jason as much as Jason is observing it. It just happens to be a genuinely terrifying experience. Jason is slightly intimidated, but not outright afraid or anything.
*Truesight does not reveal anything, by the way. This does appear to be the true form of the "man." Also, this guy's passive intimidation is higher than your roll, so that's why Jason isn't totally immune to the terror.*
Jason cocks an eyebrow and nods his head politely.
The creature holds out one of its gloved hands. "Hamilton Black."
"Jason Adams." He said and shook his hand. He smirked a bit "Black family huh? Heard a bit about them. Mostly whispers."
Ozzy has locked himself in his workshop, to the point nobody has seen him in days
Shrinekeeper is cleaning their shrine alone, the large building seeming like quite the task
Dimitri is in his office, looking at the stack of reports on his desk of different people dissapearing or found dead in alleys
David has come into town from Port, freaking out a few of the locals with his odd garb
Siven is enjoying a sandwhich in a restaurant
Large swaths of people have been coming into town recently, refugees from cerem it seems
Argent knocks on his door and sighs "Hey Oz. You okay?"
He feels a presence behind him and a sighs. "It amazes me how you are so willing to give up your lifetime for this.."
There is a knock at his office, a quiet one.
Oddly, there's little response, the sound of zapping could being the only thing heard
"Its important to me. I've seen people give up their lives to study magic, or learn an instrument." He says, sweeping dust off the floor
He sighs, getting up and opening the door
Argent sighs and kicks open the door (STR: 15)
It sighs and, suddenly, Shrinekeeper feels himself getting picked up. "I find it annoying. You are giving attention to this building instead of me." It growls.
The same woman he saw stands there, shaking a bit. "H-Hello.."
The door isn't reinforced, and is easily broken in at the handle, swinging open slowly. The warehouse is dark, the only light being flashes from the back as something is... tinkered with.
"Hey! I live here, I need to keep it tidy." They say, crossing their arms
"Hm? Hello ma'am." He says with a polite nod, "How can I help you."
The creature holds out one of its gloved hands. "Hamilton Black."
"Jason Adams." He said and shook his hand. He smirked a bit "Black family huh? Heard a bit about them. Mostly whispers."
Mr. Black doesn't smile back. "Whispers have an interesting tendency to become reality. Many believed that my parents ran away because they sired a monster. Now they are gone, and I have become the monster of legend because I went looking for them."
It sighs and, suddenly, Shrinekeeper feels himself getting picked up. "I find it annoying. You are giving attention to this building instead of me." It growls.
Alex looks up at him with steel in her eyes "First stalking and now kidnapping?"
*truesight?*
While Alex sees a dapper man in a full black suit, she also sees a massive black-skinned Pit Fiend with crimson eyes and sharp claws and teeth.
It chuckles "I am not kidnapping. Simply picking up." He chuckles.

I've faced demons people have thought only lived in their minds. As a hunter of those beings, I define monsters as entities that have been shaped by human fears. Libel and slander about my family became common after its three oldest surviving members disappeared within the same week. When the legends of me being a monster and a killer became rampant, I became... well, a monster. But when I came back home and defended my younger siblings from harm, they saw what had happened to me, and their fear grew exponentially. By the time I found my parents, I was unrecognizable. But everyone who's brave enough to listen to me learns that eventually."
