Shrinekeeper is cleaning their shrine alone, the large building seeming like quite the task
a woman with black hair wearing casualwear and a holy symbol walks inside and looks around before spotting them. She walks over to them and taps them on the shoulder "May I be of some help?"
"Hm?" They turn to face her, blindfolded, "Oh! Sure, I'd love some help" They say with a smile
She finds a broom and starts sweeping
The shrinekeeper hums as they keep sweeping
"Are you the only one here?"
"Mhm." He nods softly, "It can get a little lonely, but plenty of people come to visit for prayers or protection so it's fine."
"i take care of a small church on the other side of town so i know what it's like"
"I should visit sometime, would be nice to get out of the shrine more often. Even if it's home now"
"i'd be glad to have you. i put in a flowerbed a couple of weeks ago and the flowers are just starting to bloom."
"Eh, few days without food... it's nothing, I'm dealing with something more." He says
"Wha- uh... fine." He sighs, "If it'll calm you down." They hop out of his arms and stretch, "So what do you need?"
"Then, what do you need my help with?" He asks, tossing the file back on his desk and offering her a seat
Argent sighs and picks up Ozzy "Cmon.. You need food and water and sleep."
"I do not like that other priestess who is talking to you." He said, his voice sounding very annoyed.
"I d-don't know how to survive without blood but I don't want to keep killing people.."
He trys to resist this, but is in no shape to do so, "C-cant. I need to finish it."
"Well you don't like anyone i talk to." They retort, "Shes just helping me clean."
"Hm... I see." He sighs, scratching the back of his head, "Its not my area of expertise, but if it'll help you not kill anymore innocent folk I'm sure we can find something."
"Nope. Sorry bud." He said and sat him in a chair in the tavern "Sit. Stay. I'm gonna get you something to eat and drink."
"She is a succubus." It grumbles "She is obviously after you."
She nods quickly and wipes away tears "Thank you.."
Ozzy grumbles, looking worse in actual light as he slumps on the table
He raises an eyebrow, "Suuuuuure. I've got a barriar around this place, she wouldn't be able to come in if that was true." He says, crossing his arms
He nods, patting her shoulder, "Now, how did you end up like this?"
Argent appears a few moments later, handing him a plate of food and a glass of water. "Here."
"I saw it with my own eyes." He snarled.
"Vampire Spawn..." She replied.
He looks at the plate with dulled eyes, poking the food with a screwdriver
"Yeah, unfortunetly that doesn't help me." He says, "I know her church."

"You were bitten by ine or turned into one."
"Fork bud.." he said and traded out his screwdriver for a fork.
"Mn..." He grumbled and gently held Shrinekeeper a bit closer "Don't like her.."
"Turned into one.." she said and continued to stare at the floor "I'm sorry I c-cannot look you in the eye. I haven't been able to get my charming ability under control."
It tastes... weird. It lingers on his tongue, despite barely touching it. Amazing, but... definitely not like any booze he's ever had. It's spicy and high-proof, sure, but it tastes... how do I put this?... like hopes and dreams of a brighter, freer future, where you can be anything you want to be and make the art you want to make. Bohemian fantasy in liquid form.
"The stuff gives no hangovers. Completely non-toxic as well, which is a first for alcohol. What I'm saying is, there is no universe where I am not a monster. At least, not a universe that contains human nature."
"I don't see it." He said and chuckled "I do not see how you are a monster, put it like that. Maybe its because I think differently compared to others or maybe its because I choose to see a good in people." He said and tilted his head. "You're not a monster."
Mr. Black chuckled back. His aura seemed even more intense as he did. "I'm talking about dictionary definitions, not perceptions. Monstrosity may be a personality trait in most cases, but for me, it is almost purely physical. Determined by forces outside my control. It's great that you see me differently, but you're also drinking heavily and nearly dead anyway, so I don't think many will share your acceptance without a good reason."
He paces for a bit. "Dying... interesting. As thanks, you can keep the bottle. It'll fetch you a good million on the right market, even opened. It's also just a pretty good drink."
