Deep under the city, there was a castle. It was old and crumbling, but the entire city was founded on it. But it's gone now. No one noticed since it was covered by other buildings anyway.
But when the castle reappeared in the middle of the forest, now refreshed and filled with nightmarish, eldritch corruption... well, people are taking notice. Decadent excess and wealth spill out from the castle as strange, dark energies. Plants and animals, all strange and very delicious, grow just outside the gates.
One of the castle's servants, so far the only entity from the place that has been seen, is walking toward the city. He seems to be a normal human. He walks with a crutch and wears soft, flowy clothes, all white, black, and green, with a woven basket to match. The basket is empty, barring a piece of paper.
