Edmund is watching as the Grotesque is attempting to cook something with ingredients found in the forest. The construct seems to be attempting to make a... bread pudding?? Without bread... Okay. Anyway, there is a lot of cutting that doesn't appear to serve any real purpose.
Oswald is eating a sausage sandwich while reviewing some plans in the tavern.
The rich man (yuan-ti anathema in disguise) is watching the kobolds mine flesh from the earth outside of town. Slabs of meat are moved out of the mines by hooks on rails. The man is using biomancy to create more animate hooks.

Name(s): Khemut and Pakhom and Sadeh
Titles:
Age(s): Khemut is the older of the three (304,183 years of age), Pakhom is the middle (302,481) and Sadeh is youngest (301,942 years of age).
Khemut is the older of the three and the more fragile. She is an Artificer (Subclass Alchemist) and a Druid (Subclass: Circle of Stars). She uses her magic to weave a tale about the past lives of others. Unlike her sister, Sadeh, who is beautiful, Khemut is not. Unlike her brother, Pakhom, Khemut is not strong. She has faint glowing veins over her body that take away her youth and made her into a haggish form. She covers her body is cloaks and articles of clothing from her homeland and wears an expressionless mask over her face. She always carries around free potions that she has made for anyone who wants them and little candies for children who are kind enough to talk to her. She desperately wants her homeland back from the followers of Heironeous who deemed her and her brother and sister monsters.
Khemut is played as an Artificer/Rogue and has the race of a Reborn. (Lawful Neutral.)
Pakhom is the middle of the three and the strongest. He is a Barbian (Subclass: Path of the Beast) and a Monk (Subclass: Way of the Astral Self). He uses magic to weave tales about the tragedies and strokes of luck in the present. Unlike his sister, Khemut, he is not very smart, and, unlike his sister Sadeh, he is not very handsome. He usually takes the form of a jackal-headed male with long pointed ears and bright gold eyes. He wears a tunic made from magically enchanted white linen, but his astral self wears leather armor made from the hides of blue and gold dragons. He wants to return to his homeland with his sister so he may find their mother and father.
Pakhom is played as an Barbian/Monk and has the race of a Dhampir. (Neutral)
Sadeh is the younger of the three and the most youthful. She is a Rogue (Subclass: Phantom) and a Bard (Subclass: College of Eloquence). She uses her magic to warn others of future events and to remind people hope is always a day away. Unlike her sister, Khemut, she is not as smart and unlike her brother, Pakhom, she isn’t as strong. She is beautfuil to those who see her. She has pale amber skin that is decorated tattoos, long black hair, and bright hazel eyes. She dresses in the same clothes as her sister, but her skirt is longer, and she wears a bit more jewelry than her brother. She wears a set of gold rings on each finger that were gifted from her mother. They work to hold to souls of those she has killed. She wants to return to her homeland to seek the knowledge from beyond the stars.
Sadeh is played as a Rogue/Bard and has the race of a Hexblood. (Neutral Good)

Without warning, a mysterious portal materializes in a vast and unfamiliar desert landscape. The portal's arrival was accompanied by the sound of harsh winds. It blows sand through the doorway and scattered around the portal on the ground serving as a reminder of the disturbance caused by the gateway's opening. Soon after, three individuals appear from the portal.
The first person is draped in layers of vibrant purple, orange, and black cloth that billow in the wind. They wear a mask made of sandstone that obscures their expression, adding to the mysterious aura that surrounds them.
The second person, who is the tallest of the group, has a head resembling that of a jackal. They are adorned in a tunic made of dazzling white linen that contrasts with the dark desert surroundings. A glaive made of forged steel is clutched tightly in one hand, while a belt made of gold dragon hide is wrapped securely around their waist.
The third person is a young girl, aged between 13-15 years old. She is dressed in a long white linen dress that flows with the gentle breeze, paired with a belt crafted from black dragon hide. Her amber skin is adorned with intricate black tattoos, which add to her enigmatic appearance. She ties her black hair in a ponytail, revealing the tattoos on her neck.

*YAY. KHUMET, PAKMON, AND SADEH!*
*So the Fates, but with an ancient Egyptian theme? Interesting. I think I have something for this.*
An 11-foot-tall monster stands before them. It looks like a slender, spindly man in a powder-blue Victorian suit. His tophat shadows his face. His long, multicolored claws twitch. Ah, my nieces and nephew. You finally came. Just in time for Christmas!
They see a Warforged holding what appears to be a patched-up rocket launcher that fires beehives.
Pakhom looks over, tilting his jackal-like head, staring. Sudah, the youngest, wants to run over but Khemut, the cloaked one, puts a hand on her shoulder and shakes her head.

The last sentence is in an ever-so-slightly mocking tone.
