*So the Fates, but with an ancient Egyptian theme? Interesting. I think I have something for this.*
An 11-foot-tall monster stands before them. It looks like a slender, spindly man in a powder-blue Victorian suit. His tophat shadows his face. His long, multicolored claws twitch. Ah, my nieces and nephew. You finally came. Just in time for Christmas!
Sudah, without so much as batting an eye, runs up to him and hugs him happily. Pakmon and Khemut, however, stay still. They are staring at him. Sudah giggles "Hi uncle!!"
The monster lifts Sudah up onto his shoulders and offers her a chocolate. A sweet for my sweet. Now, what about you two? Are you too old for Uncle Pastel now?
The last sentence is in an ever-so-slightly mocking tone.
She takes it and uses her Shortsword of Life Stealing to cut it in half. She gives one half to him and eats the other for herself. Pakmon steps forward and tilts his head "The Followers of the God of Good and Order have taken Mother and Father, Uncle. They laid waste to our temple home."
They see a Warforged holding what appears to be a patched-up rocket launcher that fires beehives.
Pakhom looks over, tilting his jackal-like head, staring. Sudah, the youngest, wants to run over but Khemut, the cloaked one, puts a hand on her shoulder and shakes her head.
As they watch, he takes aim at a target, and pulls the trigger, launching a beehive that smashes into the target, surrounding it with bees. He reloads, and redies to fire again, not noticing them.
Sudah breaks free of her sisters grasp and runs over "Hi! What are you doing to those bee's? They don't like it"

He places the chocolate between his long, blackened teeth and slowly, gratefully chews it. Oh, how terrible! I'm so glad you came here. I'll keep you safe. The Basilisk told me you were coming, but I almost didn't believe it. I told him that it would have to be an incredible tragedy to bring you out here. But I came anyway. I needed to make sure you were okay. Of course, the Basilisk is always right. I'm so sorry. We'll get your parents back, but for now, you must be freezing out here. Come inside. I just made some hot cocoa.

Pakmon nods and starts forward first. Sadeh takes The Uncle's hand and hums merrily, he can see little spirits floating around her. Khemut is the last to follow. She appears to be fiddling with a small stone cube in her hand while staring at the ground.
Sadeh looks up at The Uncle. "Do people die here a lot? I can see there spirits floating around."

He looks down at her, the light revealing his long, pale, pointed nose. I arrived a few days before you did, I'm afraid. I don't know much about this place.
*By the way, I thought it would be important to note, Pastel is an Aberration. He's never even seen these people before, and he certainly isn't related. The fact that they took to him so quickly is hilarious and heartwarming at the same time.*
Edmund is watching as the Grotesque is attempting to cook something with ingredients found in the forest. The construct seems to be attempting to make a... bread pudding?? Without bread... Okay. Anyway, there is a lot of cutting that doesn't appear to serve any real purpose.
Oswald is eating a sausage sandwich while reviewing some plans in the tavern.
The rich man (yuan-ti anathema in disguise) is watching the kobolds mine flesh from the earth outside of town. Slabs of meat are moved out of the mines by hooks on rails. The man is using biomancy to create more animate hooks.

She nods and fidgets with a strand of her hair. Pakmon glances back at them before sheathing his dagger and glaive. Khemut wanders up to Pakmon and whispers something to him before handing him the stone cube she has.

Uncle Pastel lifts Sadeh back onto his shoulders and begins to run to the tavern. Catch us if you can! He laughs, moving at a terrifying pace, speeding like a gigantic insect. His vocalizations are very different from his telepathic voice. Sadeh's ride is smooth, with only the slightest bounce when he scurries over obstacles. The ride is short though, with the Tavern not being that far away.
(His max speed is 18 mph. To put that into perspective, the fastest man alive can run 8 mph)
