He nods and puts the Harengon down. He blinks up to the door and knocks.
He hears a deep, elegant voice coming from inside.
”come in,” it says.
Okropnosc enters, not hanging up his cloak.
He sees a large shadowy figure sitting on a pile of pillows at a table in a heavily carpeted room. The table splits the room in half, the entrance on one side and the figure on the other. On the side opposite from Okropnosc, there are many bookshelves filled with books in sylvan, infernal, abyssal, and celestial. There are also many smaller desks, with paper and a quill, one with a crystal ball, another with a bowl of water, and other strange objects. On the table, there is a deck of tarot cards and a tea pot and two tea cups. At the back of the room there is a ladder leading to the second story.
"A diviner. You must know who I am and what I want, then?"

Mori does not scream. Mori actually looks rather calm.

"Oh, please, don't make this harder than it needs to be. They need to see how fallible you are. How even the strongest are not immune to consequence. You see, I don't need you to help. I just want you to know that you don't survive unless you do."
The rusty blade is gently placed against the top of Mori's head as Okropnosc summons some sort of nightmarish device crackling with electricity.

"You really think a god cannot tamper with a crystal ball and some tea leaves? It was only a matter of time before I found you. Now, did you know that you can electrically stimulate parts of the brain to cause the most intense experiences the individual can experience? However, the process is very dangerous at high voltages. Now, let's see that pretty little amygdala... Don't worry, you'll be helping billions."

He makes minimal cuts. He jams the electric prod directly into their fear and pain centers. He channels his minimal divine power of fear into it.

"A diviner. You must know who I am and what I want, then?"
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
Awake, impure, divine
Breathgiver of the Strugels
“Okropnosc, nightmare god, correct?”
(nothing will probably come of it though)
So spend your hours on
What you think I've done wrong
I know I'm in your mind
I've been here way too long
I want to spend my life
With those who've done me right
Your heart is frozen over
I'm a four-leaf clover
"Exactly. And the second question?"
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

“Hmm… you either want my help for something or want to know what I was doing to the Harengon. Possibly both.”
"The first one. Don't worry, you won't have to do anything."
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
Awake, impure, divine
Breathgiver of the Strugels
“what do you need then?”
"Your fear."
