My life sucked. Sirens usually use their magic to gain status and riches. The house was big, but It was still my prison. My dad, Adendrus, was violent, moody, and sometimes outright abusive. My mom Viroseka, my namesake, was controlling and cold. The only high point of my life was my brother Lenarius. He kind of raised me. Taught me his values, not our sucky parent's twisted ones.

As I got older, Things worsened. They realised I wasn't like them, I wasn't cruel or manipulative. I was like my brother. So... they kicked him out and kept me in. I was devastated. Sure he's not dead, but he was forced out of Neverwinter Wood. Something snapped in me and I planned to escape. Gradually stole one of my dad's cloaks, some twine, and a waterskin. I set out that night and I was around 5 meters from the house when--
