the hut is actually just barely inside of the woods and is easy to find if your looking for it, it looks like an average cottage, a thatch roof, and sturdy stone walls, but it did, in fact, have five smokestacks. ember leads Kayla inside, the door is massive, made for large creatures and adapted for small and medium ones. inside there are ornate sketches and notes pinned to the walls all marked in different colors. there are two tables one was clear, with a black lace tablecloth and two chairs, and the other had alchemist supplies set up on it
"ta daaa!~" ember does little jazz hands
“Beautiful!” Kayla says happily. “I love your place. Reminds me of my room at home.”

"I'm Bartholomew. Also, according to my dad, I'm Hungry. Gosh, I miss my dad."
“What’s a dad?”
"A man who raises you. I don't think machines have dads."
“What’s a man, and why would you need someone to lift you up?”
"That was a mistake in my wording. Most creatures start out life as weak, soft creatures that need protection. Typically there are two creatures that take care of that smaller, younger creature: a mom and a dad. They take care of the younger creature until it is grown enough to survive on its own. The process of taking care of a creature in this way is called raising it. I won't go into what a man is, since I don't really have much authority on the subject."

"I think so. I've studied magic, and according to metaphysical laws, a machine can be a creature if it is advanced enough."

"I don't really know. I learned how to use it, but its true nature eludes me somewhat. Basically, it's anything that doesn't make sense with the regular laws of reality."

"thank you! Ill get the gems right now." she taps the wall with her cane and part of it swings open like a door and behind it is a staircase. ember walks up the stairs and kayla hears shuffleing on the upper floor. theres a loud thud before she walks back downstairs and places eight uncut gemstones on the table. theres two fire opals, one regular opal and a variety of other gems, varying widely in size and quality "here we go! I don't know if any of them are even worth selling as I only kept them because their pretty and know nothing of their value but if you think any of them are worth your time, then youre welcome to take them"

*Hey Baalz! What’s up? So glad the Nightmare Hold opened back up. It’s officially fall lol.*
*I'm presently writing up a dungeon for my players to explore: the old catacombs beneath Titansmount Village. I'm going with the 5-room dungeon tactics and using Flee Mortals as a base for many of the monsters in the dungeon.*
