* i wanted to share this because I don't really know where else to get peer review. The following is from the book I'm writing, The portal and Beyond.
Sometimes, the simplest stories are the most enjoyable. But no one is truly simple, are they? Everyone has their many problems, complicities, and issues. But why does it have to be that way? Gods, I wish things were simple! Why can’t the answer ever be straightforward and easy and with a clear direction of what you’re supposed to do with clear instructions wrapped up in a nice little bow? Why does life have to be so complicated? Why do feelings have to be so complicated? Why do I have to be so complicated?

That’s a great paragraph to use as an intro for your book, like as the first paragraph. It actually doesn’t feel like a rant at all to me. It feels like the existential crisis of someone who’s in great emotional and philosophical pain.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms. My pronouns are she/they.
I like reading and writing too, but I’m not much of an artist.
