With the excellence that is the new Dungeons & Dragons: Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures being released, any thoughts on adding some form of 3-d modeling system into D&D Beyond?
I could definitely see in 3-5 years when 3D printers become even more affordable this would be a killer place to be able to purchase, design, & share figures.
I like the idea, essentially some sort of heroforge where you can create and customize your char, and then print it at the comfort of your home or local 3d printer store.
I believe that 3D printing of things, like minis and dungeon tiles, is THE future of this niche in gaming. Multiple sectors will be affected hugely by this actually. However.. look forward to some legal battles over who owns the intellectual property of said designs, your rights to print anything you want, ways for entities (i.e. government) to intrude and monitor what you're printing, commercial entities learning how to capitalize on the products, etc.
