Also peoples just a warning I may change/add rules as we go if I think of ways to simplify things or have ideas for rules for situations that come up often. I'll always post about it to alert everyone when I edit the OP though.

A raft is parked up on the black-sanded beach of a small subtropical island. A young man gets off of the raft, and breathes in the scent of the pine trees and flowers. However, as he does so, he steps on a small piece of obsidian formed from one of the previous volcanic eruptions, and it cuts his foot, causing him to momentarily wince in pain. He picks up the stone, and is impressed- so pure and beautiful, yet, still able to 'defend itself'. He takes the piece of obsidian with him, straps a bandage over his wound, and trailing blood up the beach, he starts to make himself a hut.

Perched on the tallest mountain is a simple hut made of stacked stones, with a roof of thatch and a wooden door.
