The gecko scurries back over to Nathan’s unconscious body and transforms back into the young man. “Hello, young man. Let’s get you patched up.” He transforms into a black beat and carrie’s him to the top deck on his back. He turns back into a human and opens his bag, taking out several pills, needles, and bandages. After a few minutes he has injected a vaccine into Nathan and put a damp towel on his forehead. He opens a newspaper and reads until he wakes up.

*So I just watched someone play through the kitchen area of Little Nightmares and I'm feeling... not as inspired as I thought I would be. Maybe an Executioner Smough-type character like Szerucharz, where he's been abused by the system but is now abusing it right back?*
After the one minute is up for the sleep ray, Aunt pleasant claws the door to her cabin open and stalks to the nearest entrance to the top deck. From the lower decks, you can hear her iron claws scraping against metal.

The young doctor who is taking care of Nathan is alarmed at this. “Is that the lady from earlier? I’m not sure what’s happening, but this is my patient!”

*So, here's a bit of a concept so far (unfinished, obviously):* *"I assure you, the only pests aboard this ship are the people who paid to come here."* *The Head Chef was one of the first staff members. He grew up in a small, poor fishing hamlet under the rule of the Empire, the child of a blacksmith and a horror from the deep. His father was in charge of making nails and hooks for the village, while the Chef was in charge of cooking to feed his invalid mother who had been caught on said hooks. He ended up becoming an incredible cook due to a balanced diet of assistance and abuse. When the Captain called for him the first time, he chose to stay to take care of his ailing mother. However, after a tragic event that ended in the loss of his beloved mother, he came running back, desperate to get out of his hateful village before they turned on him.*
*He was put back into his lowly position as a cook, but his sharp mind and brutal nature brought him to incredible heights... or depths. His desire for experimentation and lack of available resources to feed the growing crowds of the Gut led him to turn to more unconventional sources. He invented machines and weapons specialized for catching and killing monsters of all kinds. Whenever something dies aboard the Gut, he is the first to know and the first to arrive. Thanks to him, there are no more pests aboard the Gut, unless you count the guests.*
*The Chef is also the Executioner of the Gut, grinding fools who delve too deep into feed for more loyal subjects. No one dares to defy him. The only thing that keeps him in check is the Captain, the Chef's only friend.*

*Right now I'm thinking he can feel the heartbeats of creatures in contact with the ship, and potentially interfere with them if he gets close enough. I imagine his food is nonmagical, except in the ways that ordinary food can be. He's passionate about his work, and has an awareness of the mortal form rarely even seen in medical doctors. He is extremely strong, fast, and resilient due to his well-structured diet, and has a killer instinct few mortal beings can match. He may be able to rearrange the ship like the Captain can, allowing him to move even faster.*
