*By the way, Luci suddenly recognizes that the voice she was speaking to was the Captain himself*
Even more in awe, Luci walks over to what I'm assuming is the buffet of food. She looks around before selecting a few sweets.
They are all sponsored by some Uncle Pastel person or company.
As she eats, she can hear the captain's voice again, coming from under a rug, along with clanging machinery. No one else seems to be able to hear it.
Take a peek behind the curtain, At my grand design...
She looks around for the voice before looking down at the rug. She kneels down and lifts it up a bit. "Hello?"
There is a metal hatch under the rug. The lock has fallen off.
She brushes her fingers against the metal, seeming to enjoy the sensory feeling of smoothness, before looking around. She makes sure no one is looking before she opens it and climbs downwards.

Any less than picture-perfect, And it'll get cast aside...
She drops into a metal hallway with windows showing the waterline. She can see fish and seabirds through them. The Captain's voice doesn't seem any closer. She notices some leaves on the ground toward the end of the hallway.

She gasps in amazement, giggling as she watches the fish and birds with a bright smile. She looks down at the leaves, picking one up. She feels the crunchy, roughness in her plans before setting inside her dress pocket and walking down the hall.

I'm so impatient For inspiration...
At the turn, instead of being more hallway, she finds a little cubby with a plush fish with feet inside. Lucibelle, reads the name tag.
If she turns to leave, she finds that the hallway is now shorter, has no turn in it, and leads to an underground forest with metal walls and buzzing yellow electric lights on the ceiling.

She giggles happily and cuddles it close to her. She kisses it's forehead and holds it in her arms as if it were a living thing.
She gasps almost at the fact the hallway has transformed. But once she enters the room to the forests she is giddy with excitement again.

My pen becomes the sword...
"Ah, ah, ah!" comes a voice from behind her. When she turns, there's a strange box with three legs and a black, shiny circle on the front and a man with his head covered behind it. There is a sudden, blinding flash, and the operator is gone, and a little piece of paper flutters to the ground where he stood.

She almost screams but slaps a hand over her mouth before it flies to her eyes to shield it from the bright light. She looks around, confused. "W-what?.." she looks at the piece of paper, picking it up.
A man is sitting in the Whalebone Inn eating a raw fish, scales and all. He wears a tattered hat and ragged robes shorn off at the ankles. His age is difficult to determine, due in part to the black beard that hides most of his face. His features seem weathered, but his eyes shine with youthful energy. The oddest thing about the man is his right arm — rather than the humanoid arm one might expect, this man’s is an enormous crab-like pincer covered in barnacles and algae.

Because I'll scrap you, If I have to...
The piece of paper looks like a beautiful, incredibly detailed drawing of her and her parents in a forest, or perhaps an orchard. They are all smiling.
The bottom of the picture reads Luci's Day on the Gut!

“It’s a red snapper. Quite a mouth on this ‘un.” He chuckles to himself. Apparently, that was supposed to be a joke.
“And, ah, sure, I s’pose some cards wouldn’t hurt. Is Luci your full name, or is it short for somethin’?”

"It is! Short for Lucibelle!" She giggles "I know Gin Rummy and Go Fish! Wanna play one of those?"

He shrugs and eats the rest of the snapper. “Sure. How ‘bout Gin Rummy?”

"Yay!" She claps her hand and runs away, only to return with a pack of cards.

A beholder with a red coloration and pitch black eyes floats aboard. “This is it then?”

The man glances at the beholder. His eyes widen.

He draws his cutlass cautiously. “Not you specifically. But I know your kind. “
