Loremakers! Quick! What’s a good name for a library that holds cursed secrets?
Either the Beholder’s Brain or the Dead Man’s Archives.
Oh, wow. Those are great. Thanks a ton Arch!
You’re welcome! Which one do you like more? The first one is also what I’ve considered naming a tavern inbetween the material and the far realm for some lore, and the second one was mostly inspired because I’ve recently started watching pirates of the Caribbean (I’m on the second one) and thought of dead man’s chest.
Not sure, actually. This’ll be my submission for CotFB XX — the Spelljammer Library. I’ll probably go with Dead Man’s Archives, in honor of PotC. They’re a work of art, especially the second and third movies.
A tavern in between the Far Realm and Material sounds amazing. It’d be a cool PBP as well.
twice a year, on the first and last full moons, the connection from the material to the Feywild is strongest. Fairies celebrate with legendary parties that few mortals have had the chance to experience. Once the moons reach their highest points in the sky, the dream catching begins. The dream catching is a mystical event where the swirling, pure emotions of the feywild spill forth into the material, filling the sky with glowing pink and purple clouds that take the shapes of the observers hopes and dreams. These aurora/cloud things often drift down close enough for people to touch them. Those who touch them say they are soft and smell delicious, like whatever their favorite food is. Entire nations celebrate the dreamcatching, and it is something that brings joy to everyone’s hearts. The dreamcatching is called the dreamcatching because if a creature manages to “catch” a dream, via various methods including dreamcatchers, the dream turns into an object, more solid than their original forms, but still obviously not normal. They turn into objects based on the person who caught them. Someone who loves horses might get a toy horse when they catch a dream. They only last for a few days, but they bring luck to whoever has them. The fey can cross between the material and feywild whenever and wherever they please during the dreamcatching, while other times they must use fey crossings. Fey crossings are quite common, easy to find in the feywild, but some are only active at retain times. Fairy circles are some of the most common fey crossings, but they only work during full moons.

Pretty much all I got so far is this annoyingly vague paragraph on the library and this goofy map I made two years ago.
It all comes back in the end. Every grand adventure, each far-flung escapade and all the tragedies you can imagine — lost and forgotten by the people of the multiverse, but not by us. We are the lore-makers, honored and reviled in equal measure. Historians, arcanists, keepers of secrets and hoarders of knowledge. For knowledge is the purest form of power — and in this story, power is all that matters.
I have this book about legendary dragons and one of the named dragons in the book is known as The Scaled book of The Dead, who records every creature who’s ever died on its scales. I just think it’s neat and I remember it whenever someone talks about magic libraries.
Gamemaster’s book of legendary dragons. There’s like 20 of them and one of them is an Alcoholic mess that makes people drunk by being near them (it replaces their frightful presence) and their name is Glitz the Rapscallion. They are also absolutely terrifying because they’re CR 25.
The lore is for an RPG I've made, which is a Post-apocalyptic Survival-horror game set in the near future called Chilled to the Bones. The party wakes up at the site of a demonic ritual, with a brief recollection of who they are, but no idea why they are here, and not knowing each other. They must work together to survive, and even thrive, in a world where the myths of old are true.
I need lore for a lot of this game for it to make sense. Firstly, a plausible reason for myths and legends to become real, and how demons (Demon is a broad game term for a monster) ended up on earth. Please help!!!

Oh, cool!
btw did you see my submission? It’s the deep simic Hybrid, with tons of creepy and probably unbalanced new options.
The dreamcatching

Ooh, yeah I did. Didn’t have much to say, though, because I haven’t seen the original simic hybrid race.
Neato.
