This forum is dedicated to sharing riddles about monsters from D&D, with anything from rats to red dragons. As long as the answer to the riddle is a monster that has stats in an official D&D sourcebook (no homebrew monsters, because that'd be way too hard to guess), it's fair game.
Please include the answer to the riddle in a spoiler underneath any riddles you create here, to avoid riddles with no answer.
I'll go first with an example riddle: Good luck and have fun!
It starts each hunt with twenty-four
Spends three per turn, no less, no more
If nine or twelve does not suffice,
Its fangs and claws will tear and slice.
Manticore. They have 24 tail spines that recharge after a rest, and their Multiattack lets them shoot three spines per turn.
