Thats charmanders stats. Scratch has a 40 base damage/10=4. +strength modifier of 3 equals 7. because his attack stat is wait 50? oh it should higher

Okay 12 exp. I believe from memory its about 40 exp to level up from 5, though im not sure how does that work?

As a mod, I’ll say that yeah you can train by fighting wild pokemon.
You can control the wild Pokemon, but they are hostile to you, so the only thing they can do is attack you.
I will enter charmander volcano and look for a dragon type.
