Jeremiah runs back from his spot behind a dune where he laid snapping of a few shots on the guardian. "Look behind it. The hole it came up from, it's still there. Did anyone bring lanterns?" He makes his way towards the sinkhole were the massive robot sat that falls deep into a strange underground building.

Jeremiah rips a small corner off his coat and ties it around an empty bullet shell to give it weight. He takes Buttons' lighter and lights the scrap, then drops it down the hole. It falls, illuminating hardly anything in the massive hole. It falls, one second, two seconds, three, four... the hollow thud resounds on the floor far below, and lights a small circle on the floor, made of the same metal as the guardian and Hog.

As everyone is staring into the dark abyss, the metal and cords of the guardian behind them begin rattling and disassembling further, falling into a fine grain metal with an almost vein like system of the crackling energy running through it, some strange kind of nanotechnology (the characters wouldn't know what nanotechnology is though). It crawls forward and begins to dangle down into the hole, stringing down like a rope and settling down to the ground far below.

Jeremiah watches in awe, and a sudden worried look crosses his face. "We need to follow it down there, so we can make sure it dies entirely."

"Lemme ask you a question... would we be stuck in there with it, or...

Would it be stuck in there with us?"

His face cracks into an evil grin as he grabs a rope out of his saddle pack. "Come on, the tech down there is like nothin' I've ever seen! At least give it a chance."

Lokk looks wary, but doesn't protest further

Draken rides back in on his horse "So I realized that goin alone wasn't the best of plans, so what y'all doin?"

”If it fell for four seconds, accounting for gravity…”

Misa rips a page out of her spellbook and starts doing some physics. 

“That hole is about a hundred meters deep… jumping would probably break your legs.”
