Hello! Welcome to The Convergence Plaza, set in Veridium this world is controlled by Magic and Metal, Arcane and Robotics!
Veridium Lore
In the world of Veridium, where magic intertwines with the gears of industrial progress, lies an event that captures the imagination of all: "The Great Race." This decennial spectacle is not merely a contest of speed, but a testament to the ingenuity, bravery, and endurance of the participants.
Veridium is a realm where kingdoms are built upon the foundation of ancient magic, but also where steam-powered technology has surged forward, shaping the landscape and society. Airships glide through the skies, powered by arcane crystals and steam engines, while clockwork automatons assist in everyday tasks alongside mages casting spells.
The Great Race traces its origins to a time when the disparate nations of Veridium were in conflict. Seeking to forge bonds and foster cooperation, the rulers of the land devised a grand competition that would unite the people across borders. Thus, The Great Race was born, promising glory and riches to those who could circumnavigate the world in the shortest time.
The rules are simple, yet the journey is perilous. Teams consisting of pilots, engineers, mages, and adventurers must traverse diverse terrains, from soaring mountains to treacherous jungles, from bustling cities to desolate wastelands. The route is ever-changing, with checkpoints revealed only at the start of each race, ensuring that no two journeys are alike.
At the heart of The Great Race is the spirit of innovation. Participants must utilize both magic and machinery to overcome obstacles and outmaneuver their rivals. Airships are fitted with the latest inventions, from steam-powered propulsion systems to enchanted navigation devices. Teams collaborate, forming alliances and rivalries as they vie for supremacy.
But The Great Race is not without its dangers. Pirates lurk in the skies, seeking to plunder the treasures carried by the contestants. Natural disasters and magical anomalies can strike at any moment, testing the resolve of even the most seasoned adventurers. And amidst the competition, ancient forces stir, eager to influence the outcome for their own mysterious purposes.
The race is not merely a test of speed, but of character. Heroes are forged in the crucible of adversity, and alliances are tested as the finish line draws near. Yet despite the challenges, there is a camaraderie among the participants, a shared understanding that in the pursuit of greatness, all are bound together.
As the months pass and the contestants journey across continents, the world watches with bated breath. Spectators line the streets of cities, cheering on their favorite teams and placing bets on the outcome. The Great Race becomes more than just a competition; it is a celebration of the indomitable spirit of Veridium, a testament to the boundless potential of magic and technology combined.
And when the final airship crosses the finish line, weary but triumphant, the victors are hailed as legends, their names etched into the annals of history. But even as one race ends, another begins, for The Great Race is more than just an event—it is a journey that will continue to captivate the imaginations of Veridium for generations to come.
Great Race Lore!
The lore surrounding the Great Race is steeped in the rich history and culture of Veridium, weaving together tales of adventure, camaraderie, and the boundless spirit of exploration. It is said that the Great Race was conceived centuries ago by the rulers of the realm as a means to foster unity among the disparate nations of Veridium. Seeking to celebrate the ingenuity and bravery of its people, they devised a daring competition that would test the limits of endurance and innovation.
Legend has it that the inaugural race was graced by the presence of the realm's greatest heroes, each vying for glory and honor as they embarked on a journey that would take them to the farthest reaches of the known world. From soaring mountains to dense jungles, from bustling cities to desolate wastelands, the contestants traversed diverse landscapes, facing countless challenges along the way.
As the years passed, the Great Race became more than just a competition—it became a symbol of Veridium's resilience and determination in the face of adversity. It inspired countless adventurers to embark on their own journeys of discovery, forging alliances, and facing dangers together as they pursued their dreams of greatness.
But the Great Race is not without its controversies and mysteries. Whispers abound of shadowy organizations and ancient powers seeking to influence the outcome of the race for their own nefarious purposes. Legends speak of lost civilizations and hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered by those brave enough to seek them out amidst the chaos of the competition.
Despite the passage of time, the spirit of the Great Race lives on, captivating the hearts and minds of Veridium's people with each passing decade. It is a testament to the enduring power of adventure and exploration, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope to be found in the journey ahead.

A Teacher in the Astral observitory is giving a lecture to a room full of rather rowdy children, with some help from the guide when it comes to calming them down. The teacher is a satyr with some stickers plastered onto their horns and a brown suit with a red tie. They are bespectacled and seem to be trying to care for a rather rowdy child.

Upon reaching the observatory's main chamber, the group is met by a domed ceiling crafted from translucent crystal, allowing the night sky to be viewed in all its splendor. Surrounding the chamber are telescopes of various sizes and designs, each meticulously crafted and enchanted to enhance the clarity and detail of distant stars and planets.
At the center of the chamber stands a massive brass orrery, its intricate gears and mechanisms whirring softly as it simulates the movements of the celestial bodies. Astronomers and scholars gather around the orrery, studying its intricate workings and charting the courses of stars and planets across the heavens.
Throughout the observatory, alcoves and reading nooks provide spaces for visitors to immerse themselves in the study of astronomy and astrology. Ancient tomes and scrolls line the shelves, filled with knowledge passed down through generations of scholars and sages.
In one corner of the observatory, a series of crystal prisms refract the light of distant stars, casting dazzling patterns upon the walls and floor. Here, visitors can marvel at the beauty of the cosmos and contemplate the mysteries of the universe in quiet contemplation.
As day gives way to night, the observatory truly comes alive, its telescopes trained upon distant galaxies and nebulae, its scholars deciphering the secrets of the stars. And amidst the wonder and awe of the celestial spectacle, visitors to the Astral Observatory find themselves drawn ever closer to the boundless mysteries of the cosmos.

The group of guards laugh, the main one hushing them. They look at you from their horses; ``Yeah- uh Bud, The FESTIVAL for the race is this week. The race until next week. Sorry. Be sure to explore and wonder around the festival though!``

*Love the Wheel. Seems small, but was a huge leap due to the sheer possibilities it created.*
A gargantuan machine walks into The Clockwork Bazaar, clanking and releasing hisses of steam. It has a pair of huge digitigrade legs, with large hydraulic pistons and one pair of toes attached to shock absorbers on the front of each foot, with a third toe on the back. The torso has no head, and is shaped like an enormous barrel with the legs underneath. Currently, it has no arms.

The Satyr teacher is currently outside the Observitory, they are trying to wrangle and rein in all the kids who are running amok.
People in the Bazaar are putting down their invention, awing and amazed by the invention. One inventor is a bit smug and introduces a Large Automaton, they resemble a really burly butler. Equipped with a plate with tea cups.
