Weapon (glaive), artifact (requires attunement)
Stormspike is a magic, sentient glaive that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
This weapon crackles with the power of the storm. It has been wielded over the years by those of high nobility as a symbol of strength and power. This unique weapon also has the soul of a storm giant inside it, giving it sentience. Its blade is split into two halves, with an orb of pure lighting floating in the middle, and its haft is adorned with topaz and gold. It has 12 charges for the purpose of casting the following spells. It regains 2d6 expended charges at dawn. Another special ability of Stormspike is its ability to absorb lightning. Any time you, the wielder, are subjected to lightning damage while holding Stormspike, you instead take no damage and have the choice to either heal yourself equal to the damage taken, or use it to cause the weapon to deal an extra 4d12 lightning damage until the end of your next turn.
Spells. While Stormspike is on your person, you can use an action to expend some of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using a save DC of 18: call lightning (1 charge), chain lightning (4 charges), thunderwave (1 charge), lightning bolt (3 charges), storm of vengeance (6 charges), or shatter (1 charge).
Sentience. Stormspike is a sentient chaotic neutral weapon with an Intelligence of 17, a Wisdom of 12, and a Charisma of 18. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.
The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Common, as well as one other language that its wielder knows.
Personality. The storm giant spirit within the glaive longs to be free, but is willing to comply with the demands of its wielder as long as they do as the spirit wishes in return. This includes helping creatures of storm, such as air elementals, as well as other things.
Proficiency with a glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Pretty good. I got the one player to behave and let him dm for a bit which he enjoyed. Then I got to dm for six adults plus my brother and sister. It was a little (lot) chaotic due to the amount of people but I think they enjoyed it.
