I don’t listen to albums really. Several songs I like are from the same album, but I don’t seek out an album to listen to
I know I’m not supposed to hate on things, but if you like several songs from an album generally it’s likely you’ll like the album. Artists expect people to listen to their albums. It’s almost like enjoying the first 5 episodes of a show a lot but then not watching the rest in order, only when you hear about a good episode. It wasn’t setup like that Obviously you don’t have to but just sayin

If it is a series of self contained stories, you definitely can watch them out of order. Heck, shows like the NCISs, FBIs, and Chicagos can be watched like that with no difficulty, I know because that’s how I’ve been consuming them for the past 7 or so years. The only times I’ve watched consecutive episodes is when there was a marathon

Yeah I know. I have very bad analogies unless I think about them for a while. Artists do put thought into the order of songs on their albums, and that type of stuff. Albums can be enjoyed on shuffle, for sure, but for the first time listening I’d always suggest in order. A pop album like Taylor Swift might not matter so much, but there is a lot of music where at least the first time it is kinda important to listen to it in order, musicals being the most obvious but many albums outside of that too
