Like in lore? They’re chosen by the previous medicine cat, and they go to the moonstone/moonpool with the leader, usually interpreting prophecies and whatnot. They’re basically priests.

How it works more specifically is the Sun Lotus and the other alien lifeforms it brings along with it emit this pollen, a pollen which causes a disease called flame fever. After a week of infection, you become charmed by the lotus. After a month, you immediately burst into flame. So it uses these infected creatures to burn down ecosystems and make way for the flower and its new ecosystem to grow. Once it overtakes an entire planet, the flower sends out seedlings in the form of a single emerald comet, which seek out the next planet to infect.

You probably couldn’t use it directly, but you could definitely make a character that is aware it’s infected with flame fever and is trying to stop it before time runs out, or maybe someone that escaped it and is trying to get stronger to go back and kill it :] I think that would fit in most taverns

I haven't felt like eatin' at all, all my muscles have been sore the entire time I've been here, my memory's gotten worse, and I've been gettin' real tired real quick. Like literally, earlier this week I went to a restaurant and felt sick just lookin' at the food on the menu.
