Here's my thread idea. It's a bathhouse/inn with beautiful gardens, a restaurant, a bar, and even a theater. It's got a very Japanese aesthetic, cherry blossoms, etc. If you get sick or hurt, there's the best medical care available on site. But there's just one thing different about this scenic locale. You can't leave the bathhouse, but why would you ever want to? All the guests are test subjects, being modified and monitored by a team of scientists behind the scenes. The bathhouse, gardens, and everything else are just one part of a highly advanced research facility run by a scientific organization that I still need a cool name for. The subjects are taken from all across the galaxy. Some are willing participants, exchanging their freedom for a peaceful, happy life. (not counting being experimented on, of course) Some were created there. Some were given to the facility. Some were just flat-out taken. The type of experiments run by the facility are varied, but they tend to stray on the biotechnology side. Cybernetics, bio-modification, mutagens, they dabble in a bit of everything. The species variations of their subjects allows for a wide feild of potential experiments. I personally appreciate gore, but you never know who's on here. 2: You can play as either a staff member or a subject, but be mindful that when staff members go into the bathhouse proper, they're mandated not to mention anything about the facility to the guests. 3: If you are a staff member, you gain access to the secret knowledge in the spoiler above. You are either observing the subjects, performing the experiments, or providing services necessary to keep the facility running 4: Be kind and try to include people 5: The Facility has three levels. The first is the bathhouse. This is the only floor where subjects reside, and the only level they are to be aware of. Of course, the Bathhouse has a secret. All the guests are test subjects, being modified and monitored by a team of scientists behind the scenes. The bathhouse, gardens, and everything else are just one part of a highly advanced research facility run by a scientific organization that I still need a cool name for. The subjects are taken from all across the galaxy. Some are willing participants, exchanging their freedom for a peaceful, happy life. (not counting being experimented on, of course) Some were created there. Some were given to the facility. Some were just flat-out taken.
The types of experiments the facility runs vary, but they tend to stray on the biotechnology side. Cybernetics, bio-modification, mutagens, they dabble in a bit of everything. The species variations of their subjects allow for a wide field of potential experiments. Every subject has a number and an implant that keeps them docile. After all, you can't have a peaceful bathhouse if some of your "guests" cause trouble.
Cool organization and facility names are appreciated.
RULES/LORE
1: Keep things PG-13. I understand that in a facility setting, gore may be the natural course of action, but if you want to do that, make sure to put it in a spoiler with a warning. I personally appreciate gore, but you never know who's on here.
2: You can play as either a staff member or a subject, but be mindful that when staff members go into the bathhouse proper, they're mandated not to mention anything about the facility to the guests.
3: If you are a staff member, you gain access to the secret knowledge in the spoiler above. You are either observing the subjects, performing the experiments, or providing services necessary to keep the facility running
4: Be kind and try to include people
5: The Facility has three levels. The first is the bathhouse. This is the only floor where subjects reside, and the only level they are to be aware of. The second level is where any testing, experimentation, and processing of subjects occurs. The third level is where other work is done, such as reports, preparations, and experiments without subjects. The staff also sleep on this floor unless they have been tasked with observing the subjects, in which case they spend most of their time on floor 1.

i have one done so far, for Vampire: the Masquerade. She’s an elderly Nosferatu who was turned when she was like, 83 and dying of cancer. She ran an orphanage and multiple nonprofits and the one who turned her into a vampire is someone she cared for who was in need, before they became a vampire themself.
