I'm getting close to finished with my Dreglumps. They have a unique life cycle, a culture that desperately tries to justify their pain to themselves, and a religion founded on serving other beings.

I saw your post about Dreglumps, and I really like them. What is their life cycle like?
I knew of this. And you shall know of this: I'm not doing very well, just in general. Depressed, in pain, just general hard times. I haven't been able to be on much because Viper (now going by Violet) accidentally broke her phone so she needs the computer now.
When Dreglumps die, 'life' still flourishes through them. They have no souls in the typical sense, being powered by pure magic, and thus cannot enter the afterlife, become liches, or even make typical deals with devils. Dreglumps are infertile, and while they appeared from mere muck and bugs initially, spontaneous generation is not part of their abilities. So, how do they reproduce? Vegetative propagation. They chop up their dead and bury the chunks in the mud, where new, fully formed Dreglumps boil up from the earth.

I've started designing Dreglumps as well. They look like a mix between Scolipede, a skeksis, and a hollow knight character. They are short and chubby and they scrimshaw things onto their ivory faceplates.
