Okay, I now want to make a character for there and try and get that title for them.
I really am far too competitive, aren't I?
DO IT, I DARE YOU
no, not at all! I enjoy the challenge. Good luck, my darling.
Elijah is stuck in the most complicated, awkward, mentally torturous situation Aphrodite could ever conjure up and it is eating him up inside. He suffers from an ungodly amount of ✨catholic guilt✨
What are the limits on characters there, by the way?
For example: Could I make a wyrmling that can take human form (and is the child of a god, obviously)?

So, uh, not really. Dragons as we know them in D&d don’t exactly exist in the same way that they do in the forgotten realms and other d&d settings. Characters need to remain (mostly) consistent with the world of Percy Jackson.

Mm, Dolores Umbridge because she’s human trash, then Voldemort, then Mr. Lockhart. However, Umbridge is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing of the three… pink is my second favorite color.
For me it was also Umbridge first, but Lockhart second because he would make me die of boredom but Voldemort would make it quick.
Aaaaaand pink is also my second favorite color! (Green is my favorite)
Funny thing, Umbridge was actually one of the main fictional inspirations for the parents of one of my favorite characters that I’ve made, Elijah Barlowe, who is my main character for Camp Half-Blood.
which is, to say, he has utterly despicable parents.
Well, that's one way to garner sympathy for a character!
Indeedy!
Elijah is the resident, ‘most mentally broken,’ character on Camp Half-blood, or at least one of the top contenders. I made his backstory really sad :>
I think that someone who has been genetically experimented on by an eldritch primordial goddess might take the crown. (Cough) like four of my characters (cough)
Yes but Aphrodite is like the patron goddess of that thread so he gets extra points
*Well, yeah, but like, Khaos is Aphrodite's grandmother, so there.*

Not dragons as we know them. Like, Ladon, or Peleus. They are specifically the Greek style of dragon, which are different from western dragons in pop culture.
Festus is a mechanical dragon, built by modern day kids. (Or well, semi-modern, forgot when Festus was built exactly) but those kids were likely basing him off of westernized, pop culture dragons. No actual dragons like Festus (except maybe Medea’s sun dragons, but I forgot how those were described) are in the books… they just aren’t really a part of Percy Jackson.

Yeah, I agree, as dragons are known to be a part of greek myths, but what types of dragons? Massive fire breathing dragons? Rarely. You see, dragon is a catch-all term for a mythologucal being with scales and is scary. Wyverns, for example, are dragons. So are Tatzelwurms. And Lindwurms. They all look completely different, and are still all dragons. Now, in the greek myths, there are really more so snakey dragons and poisonous dragons and many-headed dragons, not really the massive fire-breathing giants so common in media today.

The reason I don’t think it’s consistent is that Ladon and Peleus are both examples of Greek dragons, like Drakons, and Ladon comes straight from a myth.
out of curiosity, what would be your character’s potential lore reason For being able to turn into a dragon?

My titles are the great Silver Dragon Lord of the Sky, Second in Command of the Dragon Cult, High Warlock of Cynophobia, High Cultist of Jeff, The Lightning Mage. I’m a ✨Chronically online teenage boy✨, and one of the most active posters on the forums (MORE THAN SALEM AND GONZALO). Always open to talk if you’d like to shoot me a PM! Please don’t hesitate to tell me I’m being a jerk or overbearing, I love helpful feedback! Love y’all!
