As a vegan, I agree some vegans use it as some perfect thing that makes them better then everyone else. But don't think all vegans are like that. I think you just see more of the annoying vegans on television, so you might think there's more than there actually are. Personally, I try to avoid bringing up that I'm a vegan when possible. Sorry if I lectured you, btw.

Besides seeing stuff online, I've never met a vegan or vegetarian who thinks they are above or morally better than everyone else. I know everyone else is saying the same sort of thing, but I'm pretty sure that type of vegan mostly exists online
It never makes you morally better than someone else obviously, but I get vegans and vegetarians reasoning. There's definitely a lot of unethical things that happen in the meat and animal product industry
