 Sounds like a type of Sorrowsworn

 I can see that, but Sorrowsworn are manifested specifically from prolonged exposure to the Shadowfell and a variety of negative emotions, at least according to the lore I know. These guys are created through both a mix of grief and denial and can happen anywhere a spiritual connection exists.

Grave Flower Brides

Souls consumed by longing after ultimate sacrifice

A grave Flower Bride is a mortal who loses everything to be with their true love. Leaving their home, family fortune, friends and all they knew for a life with their soul mates. What sets a Grave Flower Bride apart from a happy ending is that they, either to save the life of their lover or because of a fault of their lover, die.

Mori seeds are the term given to what is spawned from this tragedy. Sowed into the chest of a dead lover, watered by regret and basking in longing. The soul of a Grave Flower Bride seeks nothing more than to be with their lover. Over the course of months or years, the Mori seed matures and wraps its thorns around the soul of the Bride, corrupting it beyond repair. At this point, attempts to bring back the bride fail.

the moment the ethereal flower blooms, something changes within whatever May remain of the Bride’s corpse. Skin regrows and becomes unblemished, empty veins run with blood, eyes fill with the twinkle of life and innocence. And from the chest cavity, wrapping around the ribcage, where the exposed heart should be, is a bouquet of blooming red flowers, thorny brambles writhing with seething anger and longing. A Bride is Born.

the Grave Flower Bride seeks one thing: to return to the afterlife not alone, but with their lover. Theoretically, this is a swift and messy process. The Bride appears in the dead of night and divorces their lover from mortality in one bloody strike. The problem occurs in the fact that the Bride often feels guilt and shame in committing such an act, even if it would lead to what it perceives as a happy afterlife. Many Brides go back and forth between these two sides, causing immense harm to their lover and others in the process.

the biggest problem is if the Bride’s lover is dead and they were not reunited in the afterlife. This drives them mad, and they often go on a violent rampage before sinking into isolation and sorrow. If it cannot sate it’s feeling of longing with love, it shall do so with blood.

contrary to the name, women are not the only ones who can become a Grave Flower Bride. It is a term for all creatures that undergo this process.

it is not unheard of for fey, especially hags, to manipulate relationships into creating such a creature. Grave Flower Brides are extremely dangerous, as their rotten hearted presence reduces all creatures within even a shred of empathy to melancholy, and the flowers growing from their chest cavity and around them have hallucinogenic effects, along with barbed thorns that lash out at it’s enemies.
