Acid, then do those things. Most waterproof objects are made so through a thin layer of plastic, which is reactive to most acidic substances. Similarly, bullet proofing is done through a specific amount of layers of different materials. If one is damaged, then it’s not as likely to stop a bullet. If something is wet and you dry it with fire, it’s much more likely to wrinkle and crack.
