The Surgeon finally arrived. I forget their name, Doctor Argument or something similar. I don't know, something foreign. They're fat as a cow made of gold, like the stories say. Very gaudy. Good bedside manor for a Karrn. They've butchered half a dozen corpses, and keep moving from patient to patient. They work like a person possessed, and they've begun to talk to me. I wish they hadn't. I don't understand what they're saying through the jargon and accent.
Has the news told you anything about the Surgeon? They say the freak moves with the plague, sweeping through camps and only leaving when even the flies are dead. I don't know why they're trying to help us, if that's even what they're trying to do. Why would they train a surgeon in Karrnath anyway? Don't they benefit from people dying, with the whole undead army thing?
I wish the guys at Metrol just sent a House Jorasco representative or something. I don't trust the Surgeon. No one should worship the soil, let alone "feed it." They're disgusting.

Shadows and light flicker in my vision. Wind slides around me, making way for my fateful fall, and my wings flap helplessly trying to catch the wind. But all I can do is fall. Before I can hit the ground, the small bits of light begin to seep away from me, leaving a sea of darkness around me. I gasp for air, but there is none, and when I take a second to close my eyes, shutting out the dark and revealing a kaleidoscope of colors on the back of my eyes. They snap back open as I hear a roar echo through the terrible night.
“Oh Lord…” The whisper escapes my lips, going unnoticed with the sound of the roar. As I look up, I see flashes of white and gold as a large white robed figure floats towards me, riding on the back of a massive golden dragon. My eyes are wet with the tears that roll down my face so that I can only see the blurry outline, but I know it is a dragon.
“Your life… is the life of pure evil. Aello Nyzsa, I hereby banish you to the lands of Tarran, never to see our world again. You have committed sin, and that sin will never escape you for all your days.”
I grasp at the air desperately, looking for something, anything, to claw onto. I reach towards the figure, but they do not take my hand, merely watching. I feel lightness on my back and notice the absence of my wings trying to fly, and I realize they’re gone.
“Please,” I cry, but the lack of air catches up to me. My eyes flutter shut and I know I’ve lost my old life forever.
