Here’s a concept I found really interesting in my light exploration of the LOTR 5e thing today.
Dragon Sickness.
you did it. You slayed the dragon. Its riches are yours. But… those riches change you. Anything in the possession of a dragon has a chance to be cursed. Take it from the hoard, and you’ll find yourself obsessing over it like the scaly beast you had just felled, seeking to hoard and hide it for yourself, Becoming less and less trustworthy of your companions and friends until you’re little more than a husk of a person driven by thoughtless greed and endless paranoia.
I know that in some stories with variations of this concept, the end of the, ‘sickness,’ includes being transformed into a dragon yourself, which I also think is extremely cool and has wonderful story potential.

An interesting take on an angel version could be one that's accurate to biblical descriptions (lots of eyes and wings and on fire and painfully bright), since that actually very different from the dove winged folks we think of today when you hear angel. Fits with the original song too, since the devil is described as charming (or a snake), not a red skinned guy with horns
