There are four Complexes that make up the world. How one moves from one to another is not fully known, as there are multiple methods, and none of them work consistently.
Complex Black (The Nocturne) is a lightless, very damp computer center and factory for biological components and prosthetics. It is ruled not just by computers, but by Nightmares, randomly generated horrors from the tortured collective psyche of humanoids.
Complex Red (Gutwerx) is a burning hellscape where most industrial production and religious practice is held. An ossuary where humans work on mundane, menial tasks that don't mean anything. The AC is super-powered, because the heat here would otherwise be enough to bond osmium on the molecular level.
Complex Green (Rottenburg) is the preservation center of the Complex Four, and it is in a constant state of decay and repair. The computers don't fully understand the difference between fungus and architecture, and is very inconsistent when it comes to disenfection. This place resembles an anarchronistic mish-mash of architecture and replicated life-forms.
Complex Yellow (New Babylon) is where most humanoids choose to live, and is the "default" Complex. It has bright electrical lighting, very attentive difference engines, and almost every form of entertainment you can think of. It also has internet, which runs through pipes into devices you hook into them. Despite being the most populous, it seems relatively barren due to everyone sticking inside.

Ocha, Mastercomputer Black (a Nightmare born of resentment and taking the form of software)
Gorta, Mastercomputer Green (an ancient entity from before the first computer)
Grouper, Mastercomputer Red (a living codex, given sentience by virtue of being converted to code)
Barbeau, Mastercomputer Yellow (a hybrid between humanoid a brain and millions of miles of computational equipment)
