I am closeted, too young for hrt, and i don't handle pain well, but I do my best to walk the line.
HRT is one of those things best discussed with a doctor. It can have some negative side affects to what you truly want sadly. Definitely always talk to a professional before seeking out any sort of hormone injections :)
HRT has very little documented harmful effects actually, a lot of HRT is beneficial to health and is given to cis people all the time. Of course always seek a doctor when you can, but people fearmonger about HRT so often when it is a practice that predates the official adding of gender dysphoria as a diagnosis. Coming from a pre-med student.
The side-effects may not be harmful, but they could easily be unwanted.
Wendi is not fearmongering, he's just saying that it's best to understand the effects before you take HRT, and a doctor is usually a reliable place to learn the aforementioned effects.
I'm not saying he is, only that it's a common misconception that HRT has a lot of irreversible harmful effects. I also didn't know that was him when I replied, I thought it was you </3. I also did state to check with a doctor, always.

You can't really surefire tell if someone is gay, but I suggest checking what music he listens to, usually a dead giveaway. Also what he likes to watch and stuff. I might be getting T within the next few years, if I resist my fear of needles. I don't like beards and shi, but I like muscles and I like deep voices. Also maybe top surgery once all the other surgeries I have to have on my body due to diseases are done?
T comes in gel and pill form, and honestly growing facial hair is really hard. Just keep up with shaving and you'll be fine. Good luck on that though, genuinely.
