Just take a Spanish word that sounds pretty and change it a little so it sounds like a place. We do it with English all the time. That way it's not like you're "making fun of" a language or anything like that

Man, what the hell is that supposed to mean?
If you make sure to do your research about a particular culture, event, area etc, then you’re not really bastardizing or making fun of it when you use it for inspiration. For example: Was Tolkien politically incorrect for his usage of Norse mythology in The Lord of the Rings? No, because he made sure to do his research and not just blatantly steal from an entire religion. Taking the time to research is a show of respect for whatever you’re taking inspiration from.
