Karschra, Land of the Brightest Night
Countless stars hang in the moonless sky of Karschra’s night. Illuminating the darkest hours with their impeccable radiance, they saturate the land in magic. Each star is its own little deity, so far away yet so close that we can see them always in the dark. Priests on the earth draw their magic from the light of their god’s stars, and from the stardust they sprinkle across the earth.
the ruling pantheon of Karschra is made up of fourteen deities, the thirteen brightest stars in the night sky and the sun. Their orders, churches and cults are prominent organizations across the land that, although revering their gods, have their own agendas due to the Gods only requiring their devotion and occasional service. The head of the pantheon is the Sun Prince, lounging upon his throne of Auroras in the heavens, directing the world to his childish whims below while his right hand- the second brightest star, actually runs things. As of a few months ago, the magic of his faithful has ceased to function. This has lead to the widespread belief that the Sun Prince is, in fact, missing.
