Well obviously for avatar you’d want to have it be based on “How do I want to fight?” You could have one path be more damage, better crits, effects on hit, being able to attack more so on so forth. On that gives you HP and temp HP and a bit of passive regen and ways to just stay alive. One that gives you more movement and AC, with ways to just not get hit. Then you could have one that is works on a particular gimmick with high risk and high reward, with abilities that let you maximize the reward and try to minimize the risk, but outside of that not having particularly good other skills
For god form, it could be a path that lets you create stuff more often, which in turn helps you grow faster (that is assuming that gaining devotion is like a city builder or factory sim) A slow start, but massive exponential gain. One that lets you just make bigger and better stuff. Not very steady growth, but you just shoot up occasionally. And on that doesn’t help you make stuff better, but instead makes what you make do more things, with extra effects
That’s just what I think though.
