Try writing out a description. Think about a few things. What color is their hair, eyes, what’s their body type is could probably wait until you’re better at art, but species and skin color are also good. Clothes. Or just wing it and see if it works! What’s their hairstyle, what accessories do they have, and my personal favorite, are they wearing a shirt? (ONLY FOR MALES AND ENBIES I DO NOT DRAW WOMEN LIKE THAT)
Also there are digital art programs. I actually draw with my finger!
I can’t blend yet, it’s pretty hard, you should just focus on solid colors while you’re still learning.

Ironically, the one art-based thing I am good at is color gradients and blending, at least in acrylic

If you’re interested in scenery drawings, you could actually be pretty good at them. Like drawing sunsets and trees.

I don’t think you can hack through drawing apps. If you really want a drawing app, then tell them the one you want and have them do some research on it so they know they can trust it.
