I'm working on lore for giants and their patrons in my setting.
Giants draw strength from great and fearsome beings that live in the physical realm, deep below the surface of the planet. As the earth is corrupted, damaging their link to the depths, they look to the stars, for the progenitors of the giants are not of terrestrial origin. For you see, giants arrived on the meteors that seeded the world with life. The universe, according to their legends, was made when the first, oldest giant was killed, explaining why her remains keep spawning more giants from the earth.
