I've always spelled it Kronos because of Percy Jackson. I'm assuming the spelling 'Chronos' comes from the the root word 'chrono', which means time. And Kronos is the Titan of time...
In greek, there’s no C, the sound is made by a κ instead. Which is why a lot of names like Herakles are spelled with a k instead of a c in greek. Kronos is the direct translation while Chronos is… I have no idea, I’ve never seen it used
