i don’t think he actually does BUT he went to the nightwatcher and asked to have the capacity to save the world. The Nightwatcher is an ancient spren who is Cultivation’s child and she grants boons and curses to people. Spren are like spirit faerie things that I can go into more if you care enough. ANYWAY people come to the Nightwatcher to get stuff and she gives them that plus a curse. Sort of. Taravangian asked for the capacity to save the world and got to be super ultra smart sometimes and also really dumb sometimes and sometimes just average and now he’s being annoying but also I like him sort of but also he’s evil.

She has trauma because she killed her mom when she was really young. She had Testament as her spren until she accidentally killed her after killing her mom with Testament as a Shardblade. Then her dad told the world that HE killed his wife and it ruined their whole family. Shallan was the favored child and her dad would constantly hurt other people instead of hurting shallan when it was her fault (supposedly). then later after a lot of other important things happen shallan kills her dad. then they have to go do things to make it up to mysterious group which makes shallan important because apparently it’s smart to try and steal from the sister of the king. But we don’t care about that right now and then Jasnah dies but isn’t actually dead shallan is depressed and becomes independent and makes veil and meets Kaladin (Kal is amazing) and shallan meets Adolin who she is betrothed to and they fall in love and stuff and shallan gets more depressed. shall I go on?

BUT cliffhangers are annoying and Odium is stupid and I’m half convinced Taravangian actually just has adhd. There’s this one character named shallan and I HATE HER SO MUCH SOMETIMES and she turns into other people because she’s trying to run away from her self even though she’s betrothed to a guy who loves her and like OMFG GIRL CANT YOU SEE HE LOVES YOU but honestly it’s kinda relatable and that’s the start of my tangent

She has trauma because she killed her mom when she was really young. She had Testament as her spren until she accidentally killed her after killing her mom with Testament as a Shardblade. Then her dad told the world that HE killed his wife and it ruined their whole family. Shallan was the favored child and her dad would constantly hurt other people instead of hurting shallan when it was her fault (supposedly). then later after a lot of other important things happen shallan kills her dad. then they have to go do things to make it up to mysterious group which makes shallan important because apparently it’s smart to try and steal from the sister of the king. But we don’t care about that right now and then Jasnah dies but isn’t actually dead shallan is depressed and becomes independent and makes veil and meets Kaladin (Kal is amazing) and shallan meets Adolin who she is betrothed to and they fall in love and stuff and shallan gets more depressed. shall I go on?
why would somebody love shallan she sounds terrible

and also what kind of @$$ kills both their parents??? Although admittedly I think they were both horrible and shallans mom tried to kill her which is why shallan killed her mom

i don’t think he actually does BUT he went to the nightwatcher and asked to have the capacity to save the world. The Nightwatcher is an ancient spren who is Cultivation’s child and she grants boons and curses to people. Spren are like spirit faerie things that I can go into more if you care enough. ANYWAY people come to the Nightwatcher to get stuff and she gives them that plus a curse. Sort of. Taravangian asked for the capacity to save the world and got to be super ultra smart sometimes and also really dumb sometimes and sometimes just average and now he’s being annoying but also I like him sort of but also he’s evil.
